Richard Nicoll, decades of fashion and Jack Wills

I cant' say I been a avid lover of Jack Wills, I never purchased the famous gillet or queued excitedly for hours in the boxing day sales - I actually thought it might somehow fall off the radar when the nostalgia trend was over (how I was wrong). The brand has recently been brought to my attention as Richard Nicoll (their new creative director) releases his first SS15 collection for the 'preppy British brand'.
"Jack Wills is not just about creating wardrobing for young adults. It's for anybody with a youthful spirit," comments Nicoll, "The clothing can be worn by a wide variety of ages. Mixed together, they create an irreverent image of British youth culture and a celebration of the individual in the gang." (i-d.com)
His collection, released in stores this week makes references to a variety of fashion decades and pop cultures - including, the ever so popular nineties and sixties. Think candy pinks, bright reds and bold stripes mixed with patchwork denim, tweed and leather.
Richard Nicoll has created a collection perfect for the brands loyal followers and those (like me) who knew so little.

Milan SS15

Fendi SS15

I haven't kept up to date with the Milan fashion shows (I'm a New york and London kinda gal) but after some much needed research I found a favourite - FENDI.
The Fendi runway came alive this season. For the first time ever denim was on display and Karl had designed a new motif 'the orchid' seen throughout the collection. Everything from leather to pleats and embroidery to applique was strutted down the runway. A colour palette of black, blues, pinks and reds were used. Skirt hemlines were high and trousers loose but nipped in at the ankle. Favourite detail the leather applique. A carefully hand crafted collection - just perfection.

Man Repeller x Superga Volume II

I've been harping on for a while about getting myself a pair of Superga's, if you don't believe me ask my boyfriend. Being a student on a budget I have searched eBay for many hours but with little success, so it looks like I'll be running excitedly down to my nearest footwear store (student discount in hand) when pay day arrives. But until that day favourite blogger Leandra Medine AKA Man Repeller has collaborated with Superga and created some unique sneakers.
The Man Repeller x Superga Volume II collection is in keeping with the classic 2750 Superga shoe but with a twist, the twist being beautiful satin fabrics in bright colours with matching shoes laces. As well as the classic shoe theirs a mule style thrown in, perfectly on trend for the summer season. It was totally love at first sight!
Being a rather indecisive individual its taken me a while to decide what colour I should get my Superga's in but after much thought I've decided on......white. Yes I would love a pair of the above (my birthday is only 2 months away, if a girl hints you never know) but for now white is perfect. Perfect for the summer months and guaranteed to match any outfit, I am one excited girly right now.
